Tapizar ( Tapit / Winning Call, by Deputy Minister ) is a Gr.1 winning son of Tapit who earned $972,632 on the track with six firsts, one second, and one third. Tapizar won the Gr.3 $100,000 Sham Stakes, the Gr.2 $150,000 San Fernando Stakes, the $200,000 West Virginia Governor’s Stakes (Listed), and, in his final race, he won the  Gr.1 $1 million Breederes’ Cup Dirt Mile.

The filly’s dam, Celtic Moonlight ( City Place / A Penny At A Time, by Pentelicus ) who, in her second career start as a 2-year-old – a $55,000 maiden special at Gulfstream Park – won by eight lengths at odds of 9/10 while clocking in 1:05.05 for the 5 1/2 furlongs over the main track. She also won on the turf at three, getting home by 2 1/2 lengths while racing 5 furlongs in :57.55 at Gulfstream Park West. She retired with earnings of $106,880 and finished in the top three in 13 of 23 starts.

Celtic Moonlight’s sire, the unraced City Place, is by the great stallion Storm Cat. He has sired 12 black-type winners, two millionaires, and earners of more than $14 million, including Jamaican 2-year-old filly champion City Flight. Millionaire La Tia is a 10-time winner, including eight stakes, five graded (Gr.1 Matriarch). Stallwalkin’ Dude compiled an imposing record of 20-12-11 in 65 starts, was also an eight-time stakes-winner (Gr.3 Bold Ruler at Belmont Park; Gr.3 Vosburgh at Aqueduct), while earning $1,741,397.
