Unnamed Filly

Schmiss (Hard Spun / Autumn Ash, by Tapit) was a hard-working racehorse who was on the board 16 times with earnings of $82,238. She retired to the Circle 8 Ranch Breeding Division and was bred to Cupid in 2020. Her new foal is a beautiful bay filly with lots of bone and leg!

Cupid (Tapit / Pretty ‘N Smart, by Beau Genius) broke his maiden by 5 1/4 lengths racing 1 1/16th-miles at Santa Anita, in his next start he won Oaklawn Park’s Gr. II, $900,000 Rebel, the first of his five stakes victories – four graded – at distances from one mile to 1 1/4 miles. Later in his 3-year-old season, Cupid captured the Gr. II, $750,000 West Virginia Derby at Mountaineer by four lengths, and the Gr. II, $512,000 Indiana Derby. At four, he added the Gr. I, $500,690 Gold Cup at Santa Anita by 3 1/4 lengths, and the $100,950 Harry F. Brubaker Stakes at Del Mar. Cupid, a half-brother to three stakes-winners, retired with earnings of $1.7 million.
