Angry-Dragon-Circle 8 Ranch
Unnamed Colt

One of our newest additions to the Circle 8 Ranch Breeding Division – Rosy Scenerio (Malibu Moon / Divine Praises, by Medaglia D’Oro) – gave birth last week to a beautiful chestnut colt by Connect. Rosy Scenerio was a $280,000 yearling in 2018 that we purchased in the Keeneland Breeding Stock Sale in 2020.

Gr. 1 Winner Connect (Curlin – Bullville Belle, by Holy Bull) won six out of eight starts with $1,370,000 in earnings including the Gr. 1 Cigar Mile Handicap, the Curlin Stakes (Black Type), the Gr. 2 Pennsylvania Derby, and the Gr. 3 Westchester Stakes. He is also proving himself as a valuable stallion with first-crop sales up to $250,000.

Rosy Scenerio was an unraced bay filly with impeccable breeding. Her sire, Malibu Moon (A.P. Indy – Macoumba, by Mr. Prospector) stands at Spendthrift Farm for $35,000 and has accumulated 17 Gr. 1 Winners on the dirt. Malibu Moon is #5 on the Lifetime Sires by Progeny Earnings List with $128,607,236 – just one spot below his sire, A.P. Indy, who is #4 on the same list. Malibu Moon has 1805 foals with 1456 runners, out of which 1046 are winners. He has 122 Black Type Winners, 228 Black Type Placers, 47 Graded Stakes Winners, and 17 Grade 1 Winners.
