He also won two Gr.2 events – the Remsen Stakes and Gulfstream Park Handicap. He was stakes-placed in three graded races, including the final race of his career, the 2015 Breeders’ Cup Classic, in which he finished third behind legendary American Pharoah and Effinex. Out of the stakes-winning Storm Cat mare Serena’s Cat, Honor Code is a half-sibling to two-time graded winner Noble Tune and stakes winner Declarationofpeace. His blue-blooded pedigree includes Champion Serena’s Song, Grade I winner Sophisticat and graded winners Vocalised, Vivid Imagination and Grand Reward.

The colt’s dam is the unraced Afleet Alex mare Castilla. She has one other foal, a Hard Spun filly named Sarah Joe, who was a $560,000 Keeneland September yearling.
